Born on the 22nd of November, 1981, Shangela is an American drag queen, reality television personality and actor.He grew up in Paris, Texas, United States of America and is the only child of a mother in the US Army, who traveled regularly and so was raised by an extended family, including his grandfather who worked as a ranch hand at pig and cattle farms.
Pierce was a male cheerleader when he was in high school and started dressing in a drag for creative purposes during English classes and continued after school.
He emerged as the Pierce's drag persona in January 2009 and choreographed a three-person drag act to 'Single Ladies' for a sober charity event in Los Angeles.
One of the performers withdrew, the other two asked him to fill in, and the club's promoter was highly impressed with his performance and offered to book him for the next week.
Sahgela was crowned in the 2010 edition of the California Entertainer of the Year pageant, with his first alternate being Chad Michaels.
