How Indoor Plants Help To Keep Human Beings Healthy
They are voguish. They are blissful. They are loving. They are generous.
Nurturing a green beauty is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity. That is precisely why bringing beautiful plants indoors blesses everyone with an insatiable passion for which a man gives his whole heart. Nurturing a home garden or some indoor plants are not a new concept.

Since the early Greeks and Romans days, such tokens of lush greenery have been brought inside the home.  Also, the Victorians were said to love the potted palms, ferns and spider plants, everywhere. So, quite evidently even before we stepped on to this Earth, the trend of potting plants indoor did.
While some are planted because of its Fengshui/Vaastu properties, some others are planted because of its beneficial medicinal properties.
They don’t just give oxygen to our lungs but also to our soul. They are not just a fine decor item, but also gives us some other convincing healthy reasons to bring them home.
So, below we have listed a few reasons to encourage you to bring greens indoors (if you haven’t quite done as yet)!

As per NASA, a few houseplants are known to purify the air; we breathe indoors. These plants are Peace lily, golden pothos, English ivy, lucky bamboo, gerbera daisy, mother-in-law's tongue, bamboo palm, azalea, red-edge dracaena, and spider plant. There are said to filter out toxic chemicals like volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from carpets and some furniture.
2) Keep Diseases At Bay - Most of the people would n’t know about this fact related to houseplants, but they are blessed with some medicinal properties. Houseplants are quite a common sight at hospitals as they speed up the recovery rates of surgical patients. Also, they are responsible for minimalising the pain of the medication, lowering the heart rates and blood pressure, experiencing less fatigue and anxiety. It also is said to decrease the level of fatigue, cold, headache, cough, sore throat and flu-like symptoms in a person.
3) Assists In Breathing -We inhale oxygen and release carbon dioxide, and plants do just our opposite, during photosynthesis. That’s how we coexist with them! By becoming our constant source of gasses, plants help to increase oxygen levels, fulfilling our body’s demands. At night, to bless us all with calm, peacefully, baby-like sleep, plants release oxygen, filling our bedrooms with a sufficient amount of oxygen.
4) Catalyses The Process Of Healing - Houseplants are said to be “noninvasive, inexpensive, and effective complementary medicine for surgical patients.”They are the best of all the physicians and the perfect cure of all our sicknesses. They are those friends who will cheer us up and helps us recover soon after medical treatments.
5) Increases Productivity - Installing plants at your workstation or at the study table in your homes have got a very dramatic, beneficial effect.  It is said being surrounded by plants can boost one’s memory retention up to 20 per cent. Als, it helps a person to focus or concentrate better, without caring about any distractions around.
