Born on the 26th of March, 1976, Taribo West is a Nigerian born professional footballer and pastor.He lived his early life in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria and was first discovered by Monday Sinclair and recruited to play for the Sharks.
His professional football career started with the Obanta United in the year, 1989, and he returned to the Sharks in 1990, played for Enugu Rangers in 1991 and joined Julius Berger in 1992.
During his days as a footballer, Taribo was mostly known for his unusually colourful hairstyles, and he won several major trophies with Auxerre in the French football.
He also played for Milinese clubs, Milan and Internazionale, and furthermore appeared in the top leagues of Germany and England Internationally.
