Born on the 16th of June, 1958, Christopher Oghenebrorie Okotie better known as Rev. Chris Okotie is a top Nigerian politician, writer, televangelist and pastor of the Household of God Church International Ministries, with its headquarters in Lagos State, Nigeria.
He was born to Francis Idje and Cecilia Okotie of Ethiope-West, Delta State (then Bendel State) and always loved to sing as a young star.

Chris had his secondary education at the Edo College, Benin City and graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in the year 1984.
He got married twice and announced he had split with his first wife on the 24th of June, 2012. 
Okotie also attended the Grace Fellowship Bible School, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and afterwards, established the Household of God Ministry.
Talking about his political career, Chris Okotie ran for the Nigerian presidency under the Justice Party (JP), led by Ralph Obiorah after he was schemed out of the National Democratic Party (NDP) primaries elections; and eventually lost to former Pres. Olusegun Obasanjo in the May 2003 elections.

Still not giving up, he founded the Fresh Democratic party, FRESH, contested again for the May 2007 elections and lost to former Pres. Umaru Yar'Adua. He ran once more in 2011 and lost to the former President Goodluck Jonathan.
