The most expensive breeds of chicken in the world are the Ayam Cemani - a very rare breed of chicken from Indonesia.
Nicknamed the "Goth Chicken", these animal treasures are all dark even to the bones and internal organs.
These chicken breeds are like the Lamborghini of chicken, and everything from their bones, to livers, lungs, hearts, feathers, beaks and even to skin are black, except their eggs which are creamy in colour.

The blackness of the chickens is due to a dominant gene present in them, which causes hyper-pigmentation, which is a genetic mutation known as fibromelanosis.

The chickens are originally from Java, Indonesia and are also said to have 'mystical powers', and are eaten as a part of a traditional ritual believed to cure many ailments as well as do other things.
