Tolu was born and brought up in Edinburgh, Scotland to Nigerian parents. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) degree from the University of Ibadan and earned a MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, UK.
He is the author of a novella, Conquest & Conviviality and a collection of poems, Listen to the Geckos Singing from a Balcony.
His works have appeared in several publications including Wasafiri, The London Magazine, Farafina, Litro, Anthology of New Nigerian Writing, Brand, Nano2ales, PEN Orbis, Stimulus Respond, Stanford’s Black Arts Quarterly, World Literature Today, Magma and Sable.
