Born on the 9th of October, 1986, Nigerian singer, song writer and actor, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike better known as Phyno had always been passionate about music.
He started his music career as a music producer in 2003, and worked with so many top artists such as Timaya, Ruggedman, Flavour, Bracket, J. Martins and Mr Raw then in the studio.

The stage name, Phyno was given to him by one of his friends, Emeka and it was gotten from the word, 'phenomenal'.
Phyno had initially wanted to be a pilot, and then a doctor, and now he's in the studio. He learnt how to play drums and piano while in secondary school, and studied Public Administration at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.
He however started singing in 2010, and had to relocate to Lagos to pursue his music career. Phyno started recording his debut studio album, 'No Guts No Glory', in the year 2012 and the album features guest appearances from Stormrex, Olamide, Omawumi, Efa, Timaya, P-Square, Flavour N'abania, Mr. Raw, Ice Prince, M.I and Runtown.

On the 25th of September, 2012, Phyno released 'Ghost Mode' as the album's lead single and he featured Olamide. The song won the award for Best Collabo at both the 2012 The Headies Awards and the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Talking about his personal life, Phyno was once accused of impregnating a lady, Rita Edmond. He however denied this in a later interview with Pulse.
